Memorial - Serving to preserve remembrance
Most of us have thousands of pictures on our phones in hopes of preserving remembrance of moments that mean something to us. We pay huge amounts of money for fancy photographers in an effort to preserve remembrances of weddings and special events.
Yet there are many memories we would pay anything to be able to forget or memories that trip us up or bog us down. Here’s what I believe...it’s as simple as what we focus our minds on to serve to preserve the remembrances which are helpful or beneficial to us and those around us.

We take communion which serves to preserve our remembrance of the abundant life Christ died that we might have as we live out a whole life. Christ was broken that we might be whole!

We must have times like the War Room movie so perfectly showed the world to have! Places and times where we remember the song in our hearts that fills our mouths with praise for all God has done and we meditate, searching diligently to focus on remembering His Word above all others’ words! What if we searched like this remembering His promises to us like we search for shoes 👠 in a big sale?!

The power delegated to us through Christ is beyond what I think most of us seriously comprehend many days. There is nothing we face that we cannot overcome by using the name of Jesus! That name is like our silver bullet! We should walk through life rejoicing knowing we are the righteousness of God in Christ singing that song from the eighties.....nuh nuh nuh nuh - nuh nuh - nuh - Can’t touch this! 🎶

Now the biggest way of all to be sure we are spending our time in such a way to serve to preserve the right memories rather than dwelling on bad ones is living a life intentionally to build the cause of Christ! What are you doing to build the cause of Christ? Ask yourself this question that I hope will get you off your couch, off your phone, and off your dwelling in a miserable past :
What can I do this week to build a memorial out of my life that will endure forever and serve to preserve remembrance of His name to all generations to come? 👇👇👇

Let’s pause for a moment and give thanks for such an important remembrance worthy of being preserved. I am so thankful for those who have served this great country! I’ve been fortunate to travel the world, even live in and visit many many wonderful and beautiful countries but there’s no place like the United States of America 🇺🇸 for which I am forever grateful! I have literally kissed the ground before when I flew back onto this soil from remote parts of the world. I’m sure many have done so. Thank you to all who paid the ultimate price for my freedom! Prayerful today with deepest sympathy for those who still sacrifice the loss of our heroes and thankful beyond words. You are also our heroes! 🙏❤️🇺🇸
